MURDER TRIAL FOR JONES BEING SCHEDULED - Jarvis Released On Bond

The murder trial of Oral Jett in Roane County could possibly begin in June, but it could be scheduled as late as August, according to the Roane County Circuit Clerk's office. Charged with Jett's murder is Calhoun resident Roger Jones of Chloe. Jett was found beaten to death along a country road near Amma on January 4. Jones' girlfriend Jamie Jarvis of Chloe, who has been charged with the same offenses as Jones, was released on $10,000 bond on May 3, according to the Circuit Clerk's office. Jones has also plead guilty to the murder of John Moorehead of Arnoldsburg Road, Spencer. Moorehead's body was discovered in his burning mobile home on December 29. 2002. Those charges are apparently pending.
