The West Virginia National Guard is not releasing the names of the four soldiers from the 1092nd Engineers who were involved in an incident where they were detained by Iranian soldiers. (See Hur Herald story today).

Regional families, including the Spencer Detachment, have members in the activated unit.

A spokesperson for Lt. Jennifer Winebrenner with the 1092nd battalion in Parkersburg repeated "all the soldiers are safe."

The spokesperson said the names have been released to the families of the 1092nd engineers.

If verification or information regarding family members who were activated for the Iraqi war, they have been advised to call 304-485-7401.

A media release of the soldiers names could be forthcoming.
