NEIL BLANKENSHIP ELECTED MAYOR - Four New Council Members, One Incumbent

The Town of Grantsville elected a new mayor yesterday. Newcomer Neil Blankenship defeated incumbent Gary Knight 88 to 57. Blankenship will take office on July 1. Phelma Jane Wease was elected Recorder 99 votes (unopposed). Five members of council were elected, one being an incumbent. Mike Wilson 123 Keith Smith 116 Loretta Stevens 107 Charles Whipkey 101 Bonnie Brown 63 (incumbent) Others running: Bryan Toney 55 Clarice Whytsell 43 Eugene Shaffer 40 Peggy Cain 26
