WIRT STUDENTS DISPLAY 9-11 ARTWORK - Project Goes To Pennsylvania

Wirt County students are displaying their artwork near a statue honoring 9-11 victims at Shanksville, Pennsylvania.

An art project completed by Wirt County elementary school students is being used to honor those killed in the Pennsylvania 9-11 attack.

The students have painted and decorated stones and artist Lei Hennessy placed them around an angel statue near the Flight 93 crash site in Somerset County, Pennsylvania.

United Airlines Flight 93 crashed in the rural area after passengers confronted hijackers.

Wirt County Primary School was once attended by former POW Jessica Lynch, who was rescued from a hospital during the Iraq war.
