HEARING TODAY FOR SHAMBLIN - Charged With Double Murder

A preliminary hearing will be held today at 10 a.m. in Grantsville for Bobby R. Shamblin, 34, who has been charged with the double murders of Ward Groves and his ex-wife Mary Hicks.

Shamblin has been charged with two counts of first degree murder and one count of burglary by the State Police. He has been held in Central Regional Jail at Flatwoods. No bond has been set.

Groves and Hicks were found shot to death in their bed on May 15.

State Police have charged a 16-year-old juvenile with being an accessory to the crime.
