ALLEN GETS HER OWN DESK - Birthday Wish Granted

"You people are too kind" Amy Allen told Calhoun County Clerk Richard Kirby she wanted her own desk. Allen is a part-time worker in the office. Yesterday, for her 27th birthday, Ms. Allen's request was granted. She got her own desk, with a personalized nameplate. "Hey, there's even a place to put my pocketbook," she said. "Is this what they mean by upward mobility?"
