ELLA M. ELLISON - Liverpool

Ella M. Ellison, 82, of Liverpool, Roane County, West Virginia, died Monday, May 19 in Roane General Hospital, Spencer, after an extended illness.

She was born January 8, 1921, at Reedy, WV, a daughter of the late Charles and Anna Newhart Polin. She had worked as a nurse's aide at Spencer Hospital and Roane General Hospital. She was a former co-owner and operator of Ellison's Grocery. She attended Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Reedy.

Survivors include one daughter, Shirlene Fluharty of Liverpool; one son, Harry Lee Ellison of Reedy; one sister, Susie Cottle of Spencer; two brothers, Russell Polin of Liverpool and Joe Polin of Millersburg, Ohio; seven grandsons and 20 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Harry Clifford Ellison; one son, William Everett Ellison; and one brother, Tom Polin.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, May 21 at 11 a.m. at the Ellison Cemetery, Liverpool, with Pastor John Ellison officiating. There will be no visitation.
