On Sunday afternoon, May 4, 2003, the Mt. Zion UM Women hosted a Tea to honor the Charter Members of the
Women's Society of Christian Service. The Group was established in the 1960's with Eupha McKee serving as the first
President.

Other living Charter Members are: Ettalean Kerby and Lizzie Stout.
A lovely memorial table was furnished in memory of deceased members: Veta Linville, Mabel McEndree, Evelyn Sampson,
Edna Parsons Schartiger and Nell Yoak.
Melody Swearengin recognized the Charter Members and praised all of their hard work in their community service,
sponsored missions and the Church.
Kim Poling, the current President of the Mt. Zion UM Women, welcomed all and presented gifts of appreciation to the
Charter Members.
Heather Weaver sang You Are The Wind Beneath My Wings which was dedicated to the Charter Members.
