ROANE JURY FINDS TATTOO VINCE GUILTY - Trial Into Sixth Day

(05/06/2003)
A Roane County jury has found Tattoo Vince Golosow guilty of murdering Judson Reid last October. The trial started last Tuesday and concluded yesterday.

Jurors took the case on Saturday, but after five hours, Judge Thomas Evans III gave them a Sunday break, continuing Monday.

The Jury returned for deliberation yesterday morning in what was described as a "tangled web" murder case, with testimony by several informants, including one man who was housed in the Central Regional Jail. The man claimed Golosow passed notes to him, asking him to "lie" about Judson Reid's death.

The "lie" was to say Reid committed suicide, according to the inmate.

However, the basis for Golosow's defense during opening statements, was that no murder was committed. That Reid's body was discovered after he killed himself.

The body was then taken to Clay County and dumped, essentially because those involved felt they could not call the police.
