Rev. David Schmitt has been assigned to pastor the Catholic churches in Spencer,
Elizabeth and Grantsville. He arrived in Spencer last week, after serving churches in
the Logan County area. "Over my 36 years in the ministry, I have served mostly small
parishes," he said. The Prince of Peace Catholic Church on Pleasant Hill serves
Calhoun County.
