Betty Jean (Duncan) Moore, 63, of Moon Township, passed away Monday, April 21, 2003, at her home surrounded by love, comfort and prayers.

A wonderful wife, Mom, Grandma, sister and friend, she will be greatly missed by her husband to whom she was married to for 43 years, Hal E. Moore of Moon Township. She was the loving mother of Catherine O'Brien of Arlington, Texas, and Steven H. Moore of Moon Township; beloved sister of Anne Knoblauch of New Orleans, La.; Liz Duncan of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; Kay Geach of Douglasville, Ga., and George Duncan of Garland, Texas, and proud grandmother of Erin N. O'Brien of Arlington, Texas.

The family would like to thank the doctors and Oncology Department of the Sewickley Valley Hospital.

Betty was born Aug. 27, 1939, in Calhoun County, W.Va., to the late Woodie and Callie (Sampson) Duncan. She was a homemaker in her own home.

Memorial contributions made to the Sewickley Valley Hospital - Medical Oncology Hematology Group, UPCI/Breast Cancer Research Fund, 701 Broad St., Sewickley, Pa. 15143, will be appreciated.

Arrangements were handled by the COPELAND MOON TOWNSHIP FUNERAL HOME.
