FORMER WIRT FAIR QUEEN CLAIMS NEW CROWN - Jennifer Baileys Ripley July 4th Queen

Wearing a glamorous white evening gown from Elizabeth Michaels of Parkersburg, former Wirt County Fair Queen, Jennifer Baileys, was crowned Miss Ripley 4th of July Queen for 2003 before a near capacity crowd at Ripley High School on Saturday, April 26th at 7:00.

Miss Baileys competed with 30 contestants from all corners of the State of West Virginia. Winning this title will allow Jennifer to compete for the title of West Virginia Association of Fairs and Festivals Queen in January of 2004 at the Charleston Civic Center.

Jennifer is a blue-eyed blond who is attending West Virginia University at Parkersburg pursing a degree in nursing. Among her hobbies she included going to church, hanging out with her friends and watching high school sports. She remains quite active in her community by volunteering. Miss Baileys was sponsored in the pageant by the Creston Company.

First runner-up was Jessica Miller of Kingwood. Second runner-up was C'Anna Keffer from Fairmont. Third runner -up honors were bestowed upon Julie Jones of Middlebourne with Leandrea Galang of Mineral Wells taking the fourth runner-up title. Miss Congeniality was Carletta Blake of Gallipolis Ferry and Miss Photogenic was Jessica Wedge of Evans.

The remaining contestants rounding out the Top 10 were: Allison Anderson of Vienna, Amanda Fields of Kenna, Heather Hostutler of Bridgeport, Jessica Wedge of Evans and Skylene Montgomery of Mineral Wells.
