Eugene Paul Carpenter, 69, of Akron, Ohio, formerly of Calhoun County, died April 21st in
Akron.
Born in Calhoun County he was a son of the late Shirley and Blanche Brookover Carpenter.
He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean war and was a retired long distance truck driver for
Roadway Trucking Corporation.
Surviving are his wife, Nancy Carpenter; three sons, Michael, Charles and David Carpenter all
of Akron; two daughters, Michelle Jones and Diane Mars both of Akron; two brothers and five
sisters; four grandchildren, Jennifer, Anna, Travis and Eric.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville, WV. John
Vannoy will officiate. Interment will be in the Shock Cemetery, near Stumptown, WV. Friends
may call at the funeral home from 12:30 until the time of services Friday.
