BROWNIE MAKER CHARGED WITH FELONIES - Trio Charged With Heisting State Police Sign

An 18-year-old Calhoun High School student has been charged with the delivery of a controlled substance within 1000 feet of a school and intent to deliver the substance, according to Calhoun Magistrate Court.

Walter Wilson III of Big Springs is accused of bringing marijuana laced brownies to the school, which he reportedly sold to six or eight students for $2-$5 each. The students are also being cited.

Wilson said he placed three ounces of marijuana in the brownies.

He is facing up to eight felony counts, according to the arrest record. He was taken to Central Regional Jail by State Police, after which he was released on bond.

Three 18-year-old Calhoun residents are being charged with stealing the West Virginia State Police sign in front of the Grantsville detachment.

Sr. Trooper Fred Hammack brought charges against Josh T. Slider of Big Springs, Brad McCroskey of Grantsville and Jeffery Buck of Grantsville. The charges cover petit larceny and conspiracy to commit petit larceny.

The group reportedly took a sign at the entrance to Calhoun County Park.
