REMEMBERED CALHOUN WOMAN: FRANKIE MOWERY, MOTHER OF NINE SONS

Frankie Mowery of the lower, lower West Fork and her boys (except Richard, who is in Alaska) L to R (Front) Glen, Frankie and Tom (Rear) Steve, Ken, Danny, James and Ron (Photo taken in 2003) Frankie Geraldine Mowrey, 92, of Cedar Grove, Creston, WV, has died. A hardworking woman who spent most of her life along the waters of the West Fork of the Little Kanawha, a porch sitter who enjoyed visits from every passerby. She will be buried next to her husband at the Wright Cemetery.
