ROWELS RUN STORYTELLER HELMA STARCHER HAS PASSED

Rowels Run storyteller, Helma D. Starcher, 88, passed away March 19, 2023, the son of the late Everette and Opal (Roberts) Starcher. His wife Tressie "Tink" Mace Starched passed a few months ago.

He was a 1954 graduate of Calhoun County High School, served in the US Army at Fort Benning, GA in the tank division of the infantry, was honorable discharged in Nov 12, 1957 and retired from the WV Department of Highways.

He is survived by his sons Kenneth Starcher, Dennis (Greta) Starcher and Roy (Missy) Starcher and lots of Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren and Great-Great Grandchildren.
