WEST FORK CLASSY OUTHOUSE GETS A TRIAL RUN

Jason Firestine and wife dutifully work toward a classy outhouse look with a modern flushing commode Friend gives the outhouse a trial run, reading the Calhoun Chronicle By Bob Weaver 2023 Over the years I have photographed lots of outhouses, mostly in Calhoun, including a two-story outhouse on Rowels Run. This week was a first, an under construction outhouse with a modern commode, flushing water, connected to a septic tank, actually a temporary construction while the house's bathroom is being renovated. Jason Firestine and his wife, who purchased the historic Roach cabin along the lower West Fork and continue with its restoration, have managed to stick to the classic outhouse look. Firestine's friend gave the unfinished outhouse a chilly trial run.
