This humble log cabin Elliott homestead was
just off the lower Pine Creek Road, about 1905

Pictured L-R: Jabez Elliott, Jasper Elliott, Harold Elliott,Rosanna
Stevens Elliott, Walter Elliott. The Elliott children went on to
become farmers, including Walter, a long-time Calhoun school teacher,
best remembered for putting up hay wearing a white shirt and tie. He and his wife lived for awhile in an urban area that had electricity, dying when a radio fell into her washtub.
