The Silence of the Lambs is an American psychological thriller film based on Thomas Harris's bestseller novel of the same name. The film was directed by Jonathan Demme, written by Ted Tally, starring Jodie Foster, Anthony Hopkins, Ted Levine, and Scott Glenn.

It was first released on January 30, 1991, and won 5 Oscars including Best Picture.

The scene involves Clarice who is called out of FB1 training. She's headed to Clay County, WV, with Crawford. A another body has been found in the river.

Clay County WV was one of several location sites for the film, in addition to Wheeling WV/Belaire OH.
