West Virginia reports 1,019 new COVID-19 cases, 30 more deaths to Coronavirus in West Virginia.

According to the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources (DHHR), there are currently 7,478 active COVID-19 cases statewide.

30 additional deaths have been reported since Tuesday, including a 79-year-old male from Roane and a 55-year-old female from Clay.

A number of Calhoun residents from healthy people under 30 to the aged have suffered dehabilitating health consequences from COVID-19, some barely surviving, according to first and second person accounts

637 people are currently hospitalized in West Virginia with COVID-19. 202 of them are in the ICU, and 126 of them are on ventilators.
