UPDATE: BRAXTON MAN CHARGED WITH ATTEMPTED MURDER - Calhoun Men Arrested On Drug Charges And Child Neglect

Braxton County authorities arrested a man Tuesday, charging him with attempted murder.

David Aaron Cogar, 38, is being held on $100,000 cash bond at Central Regional Jail.

Calhoun authorities arrested Joshua Wayne Parsons, 30, Tuesday, charging him with possession of a controlled substance and driving suspended.

According to a criminal complaint, State Police indicated they encountered Parsons on a ATV while conducting a search on Klipstine Road.

Parsons, according to the complaint, had meth, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Parsons had outstanding warrants from Ritchie County, and was driving suspended for unpaid fines.

He is in Central Regional Jail with bond set at $20,000.



Andrew David Woodring, 34, (left) of Walker Road was charged Tuesday by the Calhoun Sheriffs Department with child neglect with risk of injury, manufacture/delivery Schedule IV controlled substance and manufacture/delivery of Schedule I controlled substance.

Officers searched the residence, discovering 57 grams of marijuana, Lorazeham and drug paraphernalia, with a seven month old child in the residence, according to the complaint.

He is in Central Regional Jail with bond set at $60,000.
