CALHOUN MAN ARRESTED ON DRUG CHARGES

Calhoun authorities arrested a man on drug charges Tuesday. Douglas Steven Haugeto, 68, was taken to Central Regional Jail and charged with possession with intent to deliver. Bond was set at $100,000. Clay authorities arrested Tammy Ann Bird for home confinement violation and Earl Jesse Walls as a fugitive from justice. Roane authorities arrested Nathan Michael Romine for home confinement violation. Gilmer authorities arrested William Lee Smarr, 48, charging him with grand larceny, receiving and transferring stolen goods, conspiracy to commit possession with intent to deliver, conspiracy, possession with intent to deliver.
