SIMERS WINS PRO CLASS SEASON OPENER - Kanawha Valley Dragway

Burl Simers of Grantsville, among Calhoun's longtime car enthusiasts and auto racers, won the season opener at Kanawha Valley Dragway on Saturday. The margin of victory was .055 seconds with a time of 6.741 seconds. Burl has raced in Pennsylvania, Delaware, Ohio and Kentucky along with several West Virginia raceways.
