Edna Carroll Whipkey, 90, formerly of Calhoun

Edna Carroll Whipkey, 90, passed away peaceably in her home in Wilmington NC on September 25, 2021. She was born March 8, 1931 at home at White Pine, Calhoun County WV. She retired from Calhoun County Banks in 1994. She is preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth Whipkey, Sr. and Gladys Kelley Whipkey along with her sister, Mary L Nichols, a nephew, Jesse Nichols, and 2 grand nieces, Sara Hines and Emma Grace Hess. She is survived by her brothers, Kenneth Whipky Jr. (wife Polly) of Grantsville WV, Francis Whipkey (wife M. Janine Whipkey) of Belpre OH; nieces, Christina, Brenda, Becky and Loretta; and nephews, Steven, Jay, David Bruce, and David; and many grand and great-grand nieces and nephews. She was a voracious reader and loved jigsaw puzzles. Her favorite place was the swings at Kure Beach Pier where she would sit and watch the ocean. There will be no service at this time.
