WV WILL NOT ACCEPT AFGHANISTAN REFUGEES

West Virginia is among four states that will not accept escaping refugees from Afghanistan. The US government has been looking to states to settle nearly 37,000 refugees from Afghanistan who managed to escape the war torn nation. Most of the refugees have been long-time partners with the US during America's longest war. Republican-led opponents have expressed opposition to the US resettlement because they cannot properly be vetted.
