Virginia Morris Jones, 77 of Sand Fork

Virginia Morris Jones, 77 of Sand Fork WV, departed this earthly life in the afternoon hours of Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Buckhannon WV following a brief illness.

She was born June 29, 1944 in Summersville WV, daughter of the late Velmer R. and Pearl Keyes Morris.

Virginia is a graduate of Calhoun County High School, class of 1962. She is a homemaker who enjoyed gardening, playing cards, bird watching, caring for animals, spending time with family and friends, and spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren whenever possible.

On March 21, 1964 Virginia was united in marriage to Aethel G. "Sock" Jones, who preceded her in death on October 25, 2005.

Surviving are 4 children, Barry Jones of Lynch Run, Bryan Jones (Monica) of Sand Fork, Kandas Queen (Don) of Buckhannon, and Brandy Moss (John) of Martinsburg WV; and 3 siblings, Bill Metz (Marilyn) of Jonesboro IN, James Morris (Sandra) of Luray VA, and Helen Morris of Glenville WV.

Also surviving are 8 grandchildren, Scott Hacker (Christy), TJ Hacker, Indica Jones, Zakk Moss, Justin Moss, Michaela Conrad, Lauren Odgen, and Jesse Jones; 3 great-grandchildren, Madison, Ashlynn and Ella; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other wonderful family and friends.

Along with her parents and husband, Virginia is preceded in death by 3 siblings, Donald and Harold Metz, and Margie Howard.

A private graveside service will be conducted at the Jones Family Cemetery at the head of Lynch Run Road near Glenville, Saturday, September 18, 2021 with Rev. Mike Ford officiating. Burial will follow graveside services.

In lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions be made to your local Humane Society in honor of Virginia.
