| Geraldine Marie Ashworth, 87, of Walton WV passed away August 30, 2021 at Roane General Hospital in Spencer after a short illness.
She was born May 14, 1934 in Walton, and was the daughter of the late Rollie and Alta Wright Smith.
Geraldine was a member at Walton Union Church where she was actively involved. She lived most of her life in Walton with many loving friends and neighbors. She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, knitting and traveling for many years with her husband Charles.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Ashworth and sisters, Dorothy Daugherty, Blondena Graham and Sandra Barnhouse.
Left behind to cherish her memory, is her sister and best friend, Violet Whited of Walton; special niece, Diane Walton of Spencer; special nephew, Jerry Board of Summersville WV; and many special nieces and nephews.
Services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 3, 2021 at Taylor- Vandale Funeral Home of Spencer WV with Rev. Jerry Board officiating. Burial will follow at Rocky Branch Cemetery in Walton. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Friday.
