Wilma Jean Griffin, 86, of Spencer, died Saturday, August 28, 2021, at home.
She was born August 12, 1935 at Newton, the daughter of the late Henry Clay and Gladys Helper Tawney.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John C. Griffin; brother, Bill Tawney; son-in-law, Eddie Halloran.
Survivors include her daughters, Donna Halloran of Elyria, Ohio and Sandra Torres of Berea, Ohio; granddaughters, Emily Torres and Audrey Torres; grandsons, Nicky Sims, Gianni Sims, Justin Prescott and Brandon Prescott; great grandson, Amelio (AJ) Torres all of Ohio; sisters, Carol (Dale) Hoff and Diane (Larry) Berkhouse both of Left Hand; Adam Torres (father to Emily and Audrey) and John Prescott (father to Justin and Brandon) both of Ohio; several nieces, nephews and many special friends.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 31 at the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with Pastor Justin Simmons officiating.
The visitation will be one hour before the service at the funeral home.
Burial will be in the Clover Cemetery, Clover.
