SUPERINTENDENT KELLI WHYTSELL: CALHOUN SCHOOLS STUDENT TESTED POSITIVE COVID-19

(08/24/2021)
PRESS RELEASE: SUPERINTENDENT KELLI WHYTSELL

In an effort to be transparent with the community and also respect the privacy of our employees and students, we want to inform you that Calhoun County Schools has had one student test positive for COVID-19.

This is not a school-related exposure. However, additional students are being quarantined due to possible exposure.

As soon as we were notified of the positive students, Nurse Trudi started contact tracing and contacting involved students and staff. If you are involved, you will be notified by Nurse Trudi. We are in touch with the MOVHD and will be following the health department's guidance.

As a school system, our employees do the COVID-19 screeners and sanitize daily.  Our thoughts and prayers are with the families at this time.

We are a close school family and will continue to provide whatever assistance we can safely provide to them during this time.   Thank you so much for supporting Calhoun County Schools, our students, and the school community.

Together we can get through these challenging times by continuing to support each other.  Â
