Roseann Turner, 83, of Glenville

Roseann Turner, age 83 of Glenville WV, departed this earthly life in the afternoon hours of Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at the Genesis Heath Care, Glenville Center, following a short illness.

She was born February 20, 1938 in Shock WV, daughter of the late Nathan and Missouri Bishop Cottrill.

Roseann is a graduate of Normantown High School, class of 1956. She worked as a secretary for Glenville State College for 32 years, having retired in the year 2000. In her spare time, Roseann enjoyed working with crafts, traveling across the United States and Canada, enjoying the quiet life in West Virginia, spending time with family and friends, and spoiling her grandchildren whenever possible.

Roseann has been a member of the First Baptist Church of Glenville since 1961. She is also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Rebekah's, Gilmer County Senior Citizens, and the International Association of Ladies Auxiliary of the Patriarchs Militant. She is also a past president of the IALAPM and held the title of Secretary Emeritus.

On December 24, 1954 Roseann was united in marriage to Harless Arthur Turner. They were together 66 years and where you saw one, you saw the other.

Surviving are 2 children, Angelina Gamblin (John) of Front Royal VA and Reginald A. Turner (Sharon) of Edmond OK; 4 grandchildren, Jamie and Joseph Turner, Crystal Christman, and Amanda Robinson, and 6 great-grandchildren, Seren, Cole, Tristan, Hayes, Rhett, and Brianna.

Along with her parents, Roseann is preceded in death by 7 siblings, Mona Skidmore, Elinor Carr, baby Pina Cottrill, and Burl, Ralph, Frank, and Hugh Cottrill.

Her request for cremation has been honored and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers her family requests memorial contributions be made to the FBC Cancer Fund - Attn: Susie Sheets, 15 Krystle Drive, Glenville, WV 26351.
