Authorities have released the names of the people hurt in Wednesday’s fiery wreck on U.S. Route 50.

Kathryn Reynolds, 71, of Palestine, was the passenger who was killed as a result of the crash. Chief Deputy Robert Sims said the Chevy Equinox she was riding in struck a West Virginia Department of Highways mower driven by Ronald Scott Graham, 53, of Walker. The Equinox then rebounded left and hit a dumpster truck driven by Chester Malone, 50, of Rockport. Kathryn Reynolds was trapped in the car when both the car and dumpster truck caught fire.

The Equinox’s driver, Richard Reynolds, 73, and the backseat passenger, Ashley Stevens, 25, both of Palestine, escaped with injuries.

Graham, Stevens and Richard Reynolds were taken to a hospital for treatment.

Malone was not injured.
