TUESDAY WV COVID-19 REPORT - 267 New Cases, Five Deaths - Calhoun Has Two New Cases Since Friday

West Virginia health officials reported five new COVID-19 deaths and 267 new positive cases Tuesday.

Calhoun has two new cases since last Friday.

Hospitalizations increased from 152 on Monday to 178 Tuesday. There were 64 COVID patients in intensive care and 25 on ventilators. Active cases were at 2,585.

The state’s cumulative positive test rate was 4.94% Tuesday. The daily positive test rate increased from 6.41% Monday to 7.26% Tuesday.

COVID-19 recoveries were at 162,409 in the latest update. There were 118 confirmed cases of the Delta variant in the state as of Tuesday.
