| Rosalie Irene Zinn, age 79, of Tanner Community, Gilmer County WV departed this life at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 21, 2021 in the St. Mary's Hospital, Huntington WV.
She was born February 21, 1942 in Akron OH, a daughter of the late Leo and Ethel Alexander Yeager.
Mrs. Zinn was a former employee of the Gilmer County Board of Education as a cook for Headstart. She loved to cook and especially for the kids. She was a former employee of the Kinney Shoe Co. in sewing. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, puzzles. Her proudest job was being a homemaker and her kids. She was a Catholic by faith.
On December 11, 1965 she joined lives with Frank Edwin Zinn who preceded her in death July 2, 2011.
She was also preceded in death by her son, Frank "Chip" Zinn on May 20, 2020; and one sister, Janet Bower.
Surviving are her daughter, Karen Skidmore (Richard) of Liberty WV; and son, Stephen Zinn (fiancé Carol Pennington) of Tanner; two grandchildren also survive, Rosemary Skidmore of Nitro WV and Maria Skidmore (fiancé Drew Beckner) of Liberty WV; one brother and two sisters, Leo Yeager (Kathy) Alliance OH, Nancey Carpenter (Jim) of Ohio and Lynn Easterday of Largo FL.
Funeral services will be held at the Ellyson Mortuary, Inc. and Cremation Service, Glenville WV at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, July 25, 2021 with Rev. Kenny Fisher officiating. Burial will follow in the Good Shepherd Cemetery, Tanner WV. Family and friends may call 1-3 p.m., Sunday at the Mortuary.
