TUESDAY WV COVID-19 REPORT - Calhoun Has Two New Cases

West Virginia health officials reported two coronavirus deaths and 130 new positive cases since Friday’s update.

Calhoun has two new cases since last Friday.

The death total for the pandemic is now at 2,901, according to the state Department of Health and Human Resources.

Active cases were down to 1,093, which is a decrease of 166 from the last update. The state’s cumulative positive test percentage was 5.00% and the daily positive percentage test rate was down to 1.14% on Tuesday.

According to Friday’s data, there were 66 people hospitalized with the virus in the latest update, with 25 in intensive care and seven on a ventilator. The hospitalizations were not updated Tuesday morning. Recoveries were at 160,285 on Tuesday.
