| Mina F. Townsend, 96 of Glenville WV, departed this earthly life in the late evening hours of Thursday, June 24, 2021 at the WV Caring Hospice Center in Elkins WV, following a brief illness.
She was born May 12, 1925 in Gilmer County, a daughter of the late Ressie and Lula Isenhart Townsend.
Mina was a fabricator for BF Goodrich in Calhoun County having retired with 35 years of service. She is a Christian by faith who enjoyed tending to her flowers, living the quiet life in West Virginia, and spending time with family and friends.
Surviving is her loving sister Mattie Thompson of Akron OH and a host of nieces, nephews, cousin, and many other wonderful family and friends.
Along with her parents, Mina is preceded in death by 5 siblings, Floda Perrine, Lucille Jenkins, Lenore Townsend, Charlie Townsend, and Lee Townsend.
A funeral Service will be conducted at the Ellyson Mortuary and Cremation Services, Inc., 2 Vanhorn Drive, Glenville WV at 3:00 p.m. Monday, June 28, 2021 with Pastor Bryan Groves officiating. Burial will follow in the Cedarville Cemetery in Cedarville WV. Friends will be received from 1:00-3:00 Monday at the mortuary in Glenville.
