| A Clay County resident was arrested yesterday after attempting to flee police following a late-night burglary in Raleigh
County, police said.
Mark Anthony Stone, 21, of Lizemores and two juveniles reportedly broke into a Little General convenience store on U.S.
19 near the entrance to Flat Top Lake about 11:45 p.m. Monday, according to Chief Deputy Bill Graffa of the Raleigh
County Sheriff's Department.
Deputy Larry Lilly was interviewing a possible witness near the store, the suspects drove past him. Lilly pursued them and
after a brief chase, the suspects pulled over.
The juveniles were released to their parents, and Stone was charged with breaking and entering and grand larceny,
authorities said.
