MHHS CONTINUES REQUIRING MASKS - For Protection of Patients And Staff

(06/24/2021)

Minnie Hamilton Health System continues to require masks in buildings for the protection of patients and staff. This requirement is in accordance with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommendations updated May 13, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The CDC recently issued an updated recommendation stating people who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 no longer need to wear a mask. This recommendation does not apply to healthcare settings.

According to the CDC, healthcare facilities should continue to follow all current COVID-19 infection prevention and control recommendations, including the use of masks and other personal protective equipment.
