10 YEAR OLD CLAY BOY DIES IN ATV CRASH - FEMALE SERIOUSLY INJURED

West Virginia State Police said a 10-year-old boy died and another juvenile was injured after an ATV crash over the weekend in Clay County.

Abpit 5:20 p.m. Sunday, troopers arrived at the scene of an ATV crash in the Bird Hollow area. A 10-year-old boy had been transported to Montgomery General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The boy is from the Lizemores area.

A female juvenile was a passenger on the ATV and was transported to Charleston Area Medical Center General Hospital with serious injuries.

Troopers said the vehicle was traveling on a paved road when it entered a curve and ran off the roadway, hitting a rock wall.

An investigation is ongoing.
