FLASH FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM THIS EVENING THROUGH SATURDAY MORNING FOR CALHOUN AND REGION.

IN WEST VIRGINIA, BARBOUR, BRAXTON, CALHOUN, CLAY, DODDRIDGE, GILMER, HARRISON, JACKSON WV, LEWIS, MASON, PLEASANTS, RITCHIE, ROANE, TAYLOR, TYLER, UPSHUR, WIRT AND WOOD.

SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TONIGHT. DUE TO HIGH MOISTURE CONTENT AND REPETITIVE NATURE OVER THE SAME AREA, STORMS COULD PRODUCE 1 TO 2 INCHES OF RAIN IN LESS THAN AN HOUR. EVEN AREA WIDE AVERAGE PRECIPITATION COULD TOTAL CLOSE TO AN INCH, AND LOCALLY HIGHER TOTALS OF 3 TO 4 INCHES ARE POSSIBLE, ESPECIALLY WHERE A STORM PERSISTS, OR MULTIPLE STORMS HIT THE SAME LOCATION.
