West Virginia health officials reported two new coronavirus-related deaths and 71 virus cases since the last update.

West Virginia’s death total from the pandemic is now at 2,863.

Active cases continue to decline, falling another 152 cases and were at 2,521. The state’s cumulative positive test percentage remained at 5.08%. The daily positive percentage test rate declined from 1.92% to 1.39%.

Hospitalizations declined by two patients and were at 123, with 38 in intensive care and 16 on a ventilator. Recoveries were at 157,998.
