WEDNESDAY WV COVID-19 REPORT - Calhoun Has Three New Cases Since Last Week

State officials reported five new coronavirus-related deaths in West Virginia and 90 new virus cases since the last update.

West Virginia’s death total from the pandemic now stands at 2,861.

DHHR officials reported active cases declined by 183 and were at 2,673. The cumulative positive test rate inched down from5.09% to 5.08%. The daily positive test rate increased from 2.53% to 1.92%.

Hospitalizations were up six and were at 125 with 37 in intensive care and 19 on a ventilator. Recoveries were at 157,777.
