FRIDAY WV COVID-19 REPORT - Calhoun Has Six New Cases This Week

West Virginia health officials reported one new coronavirus death and 94 new positive cases on Friday.

West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources officials reported there were 3,100 active cases. The cumulative positive test rate increased from 5.05% to 5.10%, while the daily positive test rate decreased from 2.26% to 1.95%.

As for hospitalizations, 139 patients with COVID were in the hospital, including 53 in intensive care and 18 on ventilators. Recoveries were at 156,990 Friday.
