Janet Marie (Houchin) Marks, 77, of Arnoldsburg

Janet Marie (Houchin) Marks, 77, of Arnoldsburg WV, passed away on June 5, 2021, surrounded by her loving family at her home. She had many passions in life, retiring from BF Goodrich in Grantsville-Spencer after 30+ years. She was well known in the Arnoldsburg community where she served for many years as Vice-president at the Arnoldsburg Community Building. Whether it was passing out Halloween candy or just enjoying family and friends with a good cup of coffee, you were always welcome to come and sit on the porch. She also loved dancing with her sister and sewing beautiful quilts for her family.

She is survived by her son Dawayne (Lori) of Millstone; daughters Denise (Timmy) and Jackie (Rick); sisters Barb Powell of Parkersburg, Phyllis (Lee) Evans of Mt. Zion, Connie Lane of Clarksburg, and Pauline (Jim) Ferrell of Grantsville; grandchildren Adam (Donna), Nickolas (Tiffany), Chasity, Quinton (Melanie), Dustin (Katie), Kyerstan (Jake) and Bridget Carter; great-grandchildren include Maycee, Braxton, Ella, Audrey, Karlee, Kolton, Aidan, Ashton, Kason, Kylia, Ryleigh, Garrett, Paislee, Kase and several special nieces and nephews.

In accordance with her wishes, she has requested to be cremated with a private family gathering. Matheny Whited Funeral Home of Elizabeth WV, was honored to assist the family.
