| West Virginia health officials reported seven new COVID-19 deaths and 144 new positive cases Thursday.
The DHHR reported 4,084 active cases.
The daily positive test rate decreased from 3.46% Wednesday to 2.78% on Thursday, while the overall positive test rate moved from 5.09% to 5.08%.
As of data from Wednesday, there were 183 hospitalizations from the virus, including 62 people in intensive care and 24 on ventilators.
There have been 678,027 people in the state become fully vaccinated. There have been 155,220 recoveries from the virus since the start of the pandemic.
