WEDNESDAY WV COVID-19 REPORT - 109 NEW CASES

Health officials reported three new COVID-19 deaths and 109 new positive cases on Wednesday.

It appears that Calhoun has four new cases during past week.

Continuing on the downward trend, the DHHR reported 4,329 active cases on Wednesday.

The daily positive test rate decreased from 4.00% on Tuesday to 3.46% Wednesday, while the overall positive test rate remained at 5.09%.

As of data from Tuesday, there were 191 hospitalizations from the virus, including 66 people in intensive care and 26 on ventilators.

There have been 676,186 people in the state become fully vaccinated. There have been 154,838 recoveries from the virus since the start of the pandemic.
