WOMAN REPORTS FIRE AT RESIDENCE - Responders Indicate Woman Has Mental Health Issues

(05/30/2021)
Calhoun 911 received a call about 7:15 p.m. Sunday that a house was on fire on Rt. 16 north of Grantsville.

The Grantsville VFD responded to the call with the State Police.

Responders indicated that a woman with mental health issues had made at least two calls previously to 911, reporting a fire and intruders inside her residence.

A mental hygiene was done after those incidents and she was reportedly taken to a facility.

Calhoun EMS transported the woman to Minnie Hamilton Health System, responders saying the Calhoun Sheriff could not be located, he being in charge of mental hygiene proceedings.

Calhoun Deputy Wiley Raines did respond to the incident.

Police also responded Sunday to a domestic dispute over milk.
