Waitman Maxwell Stevens, 68, of Vienna, West Virginia, died March 28th at his home.
Born in Wirt County, he was a son of the late Waitman and Olive McDonald Stevens. He was
a former employee of Gatewood Products Company of Parkersburg.
Surviving are his wife, Diane Stevens; three sons, Richard Stevens and his wife, Lucille, and
David Stevens all of Walker, and Michael Collins of Elizabeth; daughter, Crystal Stevens of
Elizabeth; four brothers, Frances Stevens of Parkersburg, Okie Stevens of Pullman, Clifford
Stevens of Reedsville, Ohio and William (Bill) Stevens of Plaines, Ohio; three sisters, Maxine
Murphy of Elizabeth, Leonna Jenkins of MacFarlan and Dolly Yoak of Pullman; several
grandchildren, nieces and nephews and special friend and caregiver, Janet Cross.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Ricky Stevens and his second wife, Enid
Cole.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the Hartley Cemetery at Brohard. Rev.
Raymond Ray will officiate. There will be no visitation. Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville is in
charge of arrangements. |
