| NICHOLAS MURDER - Charges have been upgraded to murder for a suspect in a shooting that happened earlier this week, the Nicholas County Sheriffâs Office said.
Ricky Eugene Kincaid, 59, faces murder charges in the death of James Albert Fitzwater II, who was 47, deputies say. Fitzwater passed away on Thursday.
The shooting happened around 7:20 p.m. Tuesday on Hutchinson Branch Road in Gilboa. Investigators said the men had been in a fight before a pistol was fired.
Kincaid is in custody in the Central Regional Jail.
SON MURDERS FATHER - A Weirton man is in custody in connection with the stabbing death of his father.
Weirton Police Chief Charlie Kush said in a statement that officers were called to 1238 Glencairn Road just before 9 a.m. Wednesday following a reported stabbing.
Upon arrival, officers found Jeff Kittle, 54, dead. Kittleâs son, Justin Kittle, 21, was taken into custody without incident.
Justin Kittle lived with his father.
The investigation is being handled by the Weirton Police Departmentâs Detective Division.
