Hope Renah Nelson, 54, of Creston, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 9, 2021 at LifeCare Hospice in Wooster.

Hope was born on Feb. 24, 1967 in Sutton, WV and was the daughter of the late William and Vena (Jarvis) Tanner. She had made her home in West Virginia until moving to the Creston area in 2014. Hope enjoyed reading romance novels, playing Bingo on her phone and fishing. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandsons.

Surviving are her children, Russell Holiday of Wooster, Bethany Holiday of Chapmanville, WV and Amanda Renah Nelson of the home; grandsons, Calvin and Johnathon McCoy; a brother, William Tanner of Nebo, WV; sisters, Zelma (Robert) Long of Ivydale, WV, Donnie (Stanley) Moore of Ready, WV, Martha Copley of Creston and Patricia Sue (Roy) Armstead of Rittman; many nieces and nephews including special niece, Evelyn Starkey of Creston.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Dale Nelson in 2011, brothers, Richard “Jack”, Alton, Dwight, Shirley, Jeffrey and Gregory Tanner and sisters, Anna Greathouse and Helen McCune.
