MOTORISTS FLOCK TO STATIONS AFTER REPORTS OF GASOLINE SHORTAGE

(05/13/2021)
Drivers in several West Virginia counties are flocking to the gas pumps following a reported gas shortage after the Colonial Pipeline hack, with long lines. Many stations ran out of gas.

Motorists backed up with long lines in Spencer Tuesday.

West Virginia Gov. Jim Justice is advising state residents to use “cautionary good sense” when it comes to putting gasoline in your vehicles, but said not to panic as there is no real shortage of fuel in the state currently.

Residents could be creating one.

Gas prices are also continuing to climb this week.

The Colonial Pipeline hack was expected to cause few problems for West Virginia, but those sources recalled a run on toilet paper.
